The Classics, The essencials for the beach, the boardwalk and the pool
A man's wardrobe should have at least one or a few pairs of swimming trunks for when those hot summer days arise. Here I list and talk about some of my personal favorites to consider. These will range from classic and retro cuts and designs, to surf styles and aethletic shorts which some of might also work as a swimsuit.
1. The classics, retro aethletic shorts. Some of these classic shorts can be had for cheap online sutch as the "shiny sun short". Another nice beach short to consider is most uzzi products, which come in a wide veriety of lengths and fits to suit your style and patterns are also available. I have one of there mid-length shorts as well as there racer style retro split shorts. The latter are all great to consider if you don't like baggy long boardies and are trying to get a tan and like to show your hard work, and don't skip legday. Also, if you do a lot of distance running they will be an ideal piece to have. The racer split shorts are always on sail and are available in a wide veriety of patterns and styles ranging from solids to camo and flag prints. The midlength version features a 4" inseam and sells for $14 so does the afore mensioned retro/distance running version. I highly recommend checking outthere offerings on amazon and on the uzzi website. They are made of nylon quick dri material and are high quality shorts. You can also find NOS new old stock brand new midlength shorts like the one offered by AA, for reasonable prices on ebay. They are not too long or too short for the beach, or even for working out especially if you have a short frame and prefer shorter inseams. With that said, if you need swim trunks and care more about the functionality more than the style but still with regard to an aesthetic look, check out the speedo square leg series. Some of them are even available in prints while others offer a classic double stripe, classic and iconic. traditional cut.
